USDA Projections to 2023 & Rabobank Outlook
In their report entitled International Long Term Projections to 2023, the United States Department of Agriculture in July 2014 (International Egg & Poultry Review Vol 17 (30), 29 July 2014 predicted:
The Caribbean Poultry Association on 19 & 20 September 2014 held a Technical Symposium in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago at the Radisson Trinidad Hotel to celebrate fifty years of Caribbean Poultry. Even though the industry in Jamaica is older than fifty years, it was an opportune time for the region as a whole to get together to celebrate this unique achievement. The event was co-hosted by the Government of Trinidad & Tobago through the Ministry of Food Production, the Livestock & Livestock Products Board of Trinidad & Tobago, the Poultry Association of Trinidad & Tobago and the United States Soybean Export Council.
The Twenty Fifth Board Meeting of the Caribbean Poultry Association was held on 20 September at 1300 hr at the Radisson Trinidad Hotel, Port of Spain. The meeting was chaired by the President of the CPA and the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Patrick de Groot.
At a glittering ceremony held on 20 September 2014 in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, the Jamaica-based Caribbean Poultry Association launched their Caribbean Poultry Hall of Fame to recognize and honour industry pioneers and those persons who have contributed significantly to the development of the industry over the years. The launching was an integral part of a two-day Technical Symposium entitled Delivering Food Security and Customer Value Through Innovation & Progress held to Celebrate 50 Years of the Caribbean Poultry Industry.
